Sarah heads to Europe

Sarah and her family spent an awesome Thanksgiving holiday ministering in France and Germany.

"In the past, Europe has been a very difficult place to minister, but I really sense God doing some really amazing things there," Sarah reported.

Sarah and her husband Reece finished special leadership training in Berlin with John Maxwell.  They also taught some sessions on the need for finances, leadership development, dealing with different personalities, and many other topics.

From Germany, Sarah and her daughter Belle flew to Paris to minister in the Hillsong Paris church.  "This was probably one of the greatest highlights of my year—to see God moving in central Paris with power, truth, and results," Sarah said.  She taught on the power of God's kingdom in our daily living as set forth in Matthew 13.  In a church that draws approximately 500 people weekly, about 10 people received salvation.

Sarah and Belle then reunited with Reece and the two boys in Munich to minister at Gospel Life Center.  Sarah addressed a women's group about experiencing Jesus in all areas and seasons of life.  At Sunday's service, she taught on how to hear Jesus speaking in daily life.  She was thrilled when about 10 people accepted Jesus as Savior.  "It's so exciting to see God is moving in our world," she said.

Cambodia Update

Breaking News - Update LIVE from Cambodia

In Kraing Tnong, 2,500 poured in for the evening session.  The momentum seemed to have increased with this event. Sarah prayed for eyes, hands, back and feet. One man who could not read for more than two years actually read from his Bible. We had a man in a wheelchair who had lost the ability to stand, stand up and walk with help. Another woman who couldn't walk without a cane for five years, walked for first time, pain free with no cane!

There was also a young boy had had menningitis and as a result, his vision was blurred almost to the point of being blind. His mom brought him forward and they testified that his vision was totally healed!  Thank you for praying for this great event and for the many people in Cambodia who need a touch from Jesus!

This man was healed from pain in his eyes.

Kids in Cambodia:

Reaching out to Cambodia's forgotten children

Cambodia has never fully recovered from the 20-year war in Southeast Asia.

Not only was this small nation physically destroyed by the war, but the family structure was shattered…the school system was demolished…religion obliterated.

Today, many children in Cambodia grow up completely alone. They live on the
streets in poverty, disease, and abuse—where they are forced to beg, steal…
or do far worse…to survive.

Through worldchild, we want to help these desperate children.

Can you imagine…
• Nearly half of all children are malnourished, and 1 in 8 dies before their fifth birthday—largely due to preventable causes.
• Children as young as 5 years old are sold in the sex trade market and one third of all prostitutes are under the age of 18 years old.
• 300,000 children will lose their parents to AIDs-related illnesses this year.
• 34% of the population lives on less than $1 a day.

The children and young people of Cambodia need to know they're not forgotten.

They deserve a real chance for a real future!

worldchild was able to meet real needs in this area of the world. During our 2006 trek to Cambodia we:
• Provided funds to a Christian school for a van to bring in street children
• Gave each of the street children a new uniform for school and rice to each families of the street children
• Donated uniforms, clothing, and food to an orphanage in Komphongcham
• Purchased bicycles for the orphans and books to create a small library for the children at the orphanage.
• Poured the tangible love of Jesus into the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged children

Worldchild touched the physical, emotional, spiritual, and eternal needs of these children in a way that they will remember forever. A pastor from Cambodian said, "Pastor Sarah, thank you very much for your help and support of our children. We strongly believe that you were sent by God to bless Cambodia."

Project Africa

Without intervention, millions of African children will die.

...an entire generation will be lost to starvation, violence, and the AIDS pandemic.

We can't see the terrible suffering in Sudan, Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, and Zambia and not feel a passionate desire "to do something."
This desire birthed Project Africa, a worldchild outreach that will help support an orphanage in each of Africa's 57 countries.

Forced to live colorless, joyless lives—these children struggle just to exist. They give no thought to things that seem commonplace to our own children—birthday parties, new shoes, their own bed.  Most of them won't even see their fifth birthday!

Yet, they still have hope.
In the middle of unimaginable conditions, you can hear their laughter.  Among the cries of hunger, you hear the sound of children playing.  Their innocence amid the terrible suffering draws us to help.  Compassion demands that we respond to their need.

God hasn't forgotten them, and we can't either.
We are determined to show the children of Africa the tangible love of God—to hold a hand, to fill a stomach, to be the face of Jesus to a child who's never known Him, and offer hope to brighten their young lives.

As worldchild embarks on its global commission, to help support an orphanage in every one of Africa's 57 countries, we know what we are doing matters to God—and we know it matters to you.

Please send help today.
